    At River Yoga we encourage and empower each student to discover her/his unique path toward whole health. The ancient practice of yoga combines postures (asanas) and breath (prana), which provides a vehicle to strengthen and embolden our physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. River Yoga classes range from very gentle to vigorous and are always offered with modifications and variations to accommodate each and every individual practice. Yoga is an inward journey. Thus, we encourage all of our students to learn from the student and teacher within. Join us as we celebrate greater health, happiness, freedom and wisdom.     The Very Basics***

    Explore your power and grace in this dynamic one-hour class! Build internal heat and increase stamina, strength, and focus!

    Meditation is the most direct and effortless way to experience inner silence. Benefits include stress reduction, decreased anxiety, boosted immunity, and greater intuition. When you meditate in a group, you share in each other's vibrations, increasing your shared coherence and harmony exponentially! Let's come together for some great vibrations! This is a free class that is open to new and experienced meditation practitioners. Mats and chairs will be available.

    This all-levels Slow Flow class will celebrate each student's unique practice! Liz will offer personal assists to guide each student to discover their deepest potential in each posture and in each breath! For this class, you may make a donation of your choice which will be used to develop and run our new community yoga programs!

    Stick To It Yoga***

    Join us for strength, alignment, balance, and fun! Come to this stress free class to learn about your body from the inside out. Gently unlock stiff joints, challenge your core muscles, align your skeletal frame, and improve your balance (of body and the mind). Part of this class will use the yoga sky styx method to explore the yoga postures, and to add variety to your practice. Appropriate for all ages--especially boomers, and beyond!

    This one hour, all levels energizing class will focus on finding balance in our poses and transitions. (On and off our mats!)

    Explore the five pillars of yoga in this all-levels dynamic class. Tisa will focus on breath, focus, inner heat, core strength and movement for a complete mind-body “work-in”.

    Men's Yoga Saturdays!

    Bill Moth, RYT

     

    Taught by Bill Moth, this hour-long class is designed specifically for men wanting to begin yoga, and those who have some yoga experience and want to continue in a gender specific practice. While proceeding at a slow to moderate pace, each practice will include postures, movement, balance, breath work, and strength development. Emphasis is on instruction, alignment, and use of props and modifications to enable students to learn and practice yoga successfully for a lifetime.

    River Yoga offers free chair yoga every Tuesday at The Community Center at Riverview Apartments on Strawberry Lane in Clayton. These classes are offered from 1 PM - 2 PM. All are welcome.

    Enjoy a morning of mindfulness practices with Liz Price- Kellogg and Kristen Taylor, including breath work, meditation, chair yoga, and food sampling from For the Love of Food and Yoga. Liz and Kristen will donate 20% of all book sales from this event to Clear Path for Veterans—Upstate New York’s Veteran Resource Center serving as a hub of information, programs, and resources to help veterans with their journeys home.
