    At River Yoga we encourage and empower each student to discover her/his unique path toward whole health. The ancient practice of yoga combines postures (asanas) and breath (prana), which provides a vehicle to strengthen and embolden our physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. River Yoga classes range from very gentle to vigorous and are always offered with modifications and variations to accommodate each and every individual practice. Yoga is an inward journey. Thus, we encourage all of our students to learn from the student and teacher within. Join us as we celebrate greater health, happiness, freedom and wisdom.     Yoga for Everyone!

    This class, perfect for the beginner and reluctant, will introduce the student to postures and breath work, creating a strong foundation for greater health, vitality and peace of mind!

    Live Music Monday - Optimal Flow!

    5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

    Live acoustic music will accompany this fun flow practice, designed to move the body optimally and allow energy to properly align. Each sequence is specifically orchestrated to encourage each student to deepen their awareness of coordinating breath and movement. All levels are welcome and encouraged.

    River Breath and Asana Flow!

    5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

    Summer’s warmth paired with your breath and asana flow will strengthen your connection to your mat, deepen your practice, and help you to explore new edges in the body/mind. All levels welcome!

    Introducing the Stick: Align and Strengthen!

    9:00 AM - 10:15 AM

    Lengthen, strengthen and stretch with a River Yoga Sticks class. This class will introduce the student to using the stick to support and deepen poses. Yoga sticks help to take pressure off of tender knees and vulnerable joints. July classes will continue to be geared toward the baby boomers and those seeking to safely enhance their yoga practice and physical longevity. All levels welcome. Sticks are provided or may be purchased for $10.00.

    Yin Yang Fusion

    NOON - 1:15 PM

    Improve your energy flow! Develop strength and stamina in your poses, then dissolve into deeply held passive stretches targeting the body's connective tissues and joints. You will gain strength, flexibility, and expanded self-awareness in this all level class.

    Alignment Basics

    Summer’s passing is a returning cycle. Prepare with the very basics of posture alignment and breath work to feel fully alive and well in the present. This class is suitable for beginners and those students wishing to deepen and fine-tune their practices.

    River Yoga offers free chair yoga every Tuesday at The Community Center at Riverview Apartments on Strawberry Lane in Clayton. These classes are offered from 1 PM - 2 PM. All are welcome.
